About the Artist (click to expand)
Brian Isbester is a local artist and has been painting for 40 years. He is self taught and is now exploring the local art scene.
He has completed courses at the Brisbane Institute of Art. His subjects include portraits, landscapes, abstracts and still life using mediums of oils and acrylics.
Brian’s work has a distinctly Australian flavour which he imbues with his personal appreciation of local subjects. He is the owner and operator of his studio and gallery run from his home.
Brian played professional Rugby League in Sydney and Brisbane in the 1970’s and it was after breaking his leg twice in two years he decided to get back into painting. He has had some success with paintings he has entered in various competitions.
