You can see some of my art on a Brisbane Traffic Signal Box. This box was painted with the help of Catherine Marsh, Patty Gonzalez and Karen Collins and is located at the corner of Brunswick & Arthur Sts, Fortitude Valley.
About Anne and her Art
Anne Armstrong was born and raised in the goldfields (Leonora and Kalgoorlie) of Western Australia, and has also lived in Ireland and Canberra before finally making her home in Brisbane. Her favourite mediums are watercolours, black and white ink drawings and acrylic which is her current medium.

Anne is self taught. Many of her drawings and paintings have been gifted to family, friends; many have sold as directly commissioned pieces, and others have been sold privately. She has also exhibited and sold at private Art shows, and was chosen as people’s choice in the inaugural ART ST group exhibition which was held in 2015 at the Percolator Gallery, Paddington (now Latrobe Art Space).
Her work reflects her fascination with shapes, textured effects and especially her attraction to light and shadows. She is constantly seduced by colours and detail, and particularly loves the Qld architecture with its many shapes and shadows, wooden trims and the wild tropical gardens.

We both lived in a house just like it in Paddington a few years ago when we first moved to Brisbane and it brings back so many happy memories when I see it hanging now in my home in Dublin.
